![]() VERSE OF THE MONTH “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord”. Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV) ![]() Greetings! WOW! More big news! Tangible Hope Ministries is blessed and honored to announce an incredible partnership with the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center! On Tuesday, July 29th, Tangible Hope Ministries presented four gaming systems (TVs, consoles, and controllers) as well as 15 $25 Uber Eats gift cards to the Juvenile Detention Center in Grand Rapids, MI. The detention center has been running an Esports Youth Justice Influence League program. It’s an innovative 8-week program that introduces structured esports activities to youth in the center. The program aims to promote teamwork, discipline, critical thinking, and emotional regulation through competitive gaming. Each session begins with 30 minutes of presentations from guest speakers who share valuable insights on a variety of important topics, including financial literacy, green energy, social economics, and entrepreneurship. This program is designed to build self-confidence, educate participants on social and economic issues, offer opportunities to earn college scholarships, and allow them to compete in official esports tournaments for cash prizes. Ultimately, the goal is to help these young people discover a new, healthy, and safe path—one that not only improves their own lives but also contributes to a safer community and inspires the next generation. Because we can’t change the past, but together we can reverse the future. Paula Creswell Executive Director Tangible Hope Ministries DONATE TO DUPLICATE THIS PROGRAM IN OTHER MICHIGAN COUNTIES! |
